Actual timesheets may differ among departments, though many departments have converted to online timecards called "I-Time." Your personnel/payroll representative or immediate supervisor will instruct you on how to complete your timesheet and when you will receive your first paycheck. Check with your human resource staff or supervisor if you have questions.
Direct Deposit allows for your paycheck to automatically be deposited into your bank account. Direct Deposit saves you time and reduces the hassles of waiting in line at your bank or credit union. If you are sick or out of town on payday, you do not have to worry about depositing your check late. With direct deposit your bi-weekly paycheck is automatically deposited into your account. The state also saves money through reduced processing of checks. Your personnel/payroll person can help you sign-up for direct deposit.
Online pay stubs are also available for those on Direct Deposit. This allows you to view your pay stub from any personal computer with access to the internet.
See your personnel/payroll representative for information on additional optional insurance programs.
