Idaho State Government Jobs Hiring List PDF Print E-mail

After exams have been scored, applicants are placed on a Register of qualified candidates, from which a Hiring List can be created. Applicants are placed on the Hiring List in score order, with the top ten scores listed first. There may be more than one person holding the same score. Idaho law requires agencies to make a hire from the top 10 scores on the hiring list.

An agency requests a Hiring List and decides which applicants to contact to schedule an interview. The important thing to remember is in order for you to be scheduled for an interview, you want to make it as easy as possible for an agency to contact you by keeping your contact information current in My Account. If you receive a phone call, email, or letter offering you an interview, please respond promptly! If you are not reachable, or don't respond promptly, you may miss the opportunity to interview! Remember, your name on a Hiring List does not guarantee an interview.

Most Hiring Lists are created for a specific job at a specific agency. If another agency requests a Hiring List from the same Register of qualified candidates, a new Hiring List is created. Your name may be in a different order on the new Hiring List, based on names dropping off, or new names being added. As agencies use Hiring Lists, names can move up or off the Register.

If at any time you are interested in having your name added to a Register for an additional city or location for the job you are seeking, go to My Account and update that information.
